Shatter the Hourglass

Everyone has their expectations, ones you must fulfil:
You need to have a Big ass. Big breasts. Huge luscious lips,
Your waist should be the size of a child's,
but wide and curved should be your hips.
You should stop eating before you’re full,
Your stomach should be perfectly flat,
Your bust the opposite, big and juicy,
But god forbid you’re fat.
Your legs should be long,
And slender like a pole,
Your figure an hourglass,
Something to control.
Hourglass.
Tick
tock
Hourglass.
For too long we’ve had,
A mindset so messed up,
This change is necessary,
Our ideology is corrupt.
A measuring tape around your waist,
Another one pressed onto your lips,
Be quiet, bow your head, just smile,
even as you’re dragged down by their grip
We won’t stand for it anymore, won’t cry in silence,
We’re loud, confident, and proud of our mass,
And with our voices, this new generation of women,
Is going to rise up together, and shatter the hourglass.
This is a message that absolutely needs to be screamed out. Keep fighting the good fight 💪
